A series of (13) original production drawings from the Laika Studios animated film "The Boxtrolls" (2014). Featuring one of the film's comedic antagonists Mr.Gristle, voiced by Tracy Morgan, the series of graphite drawings were created at the studio by Rick Farmiloe. The drawings were during the animation process to properly render the animation of the facial expressions prior to the 3D printing of the faces for the stop-motion puppets. This series in particular exemplifies how the character's mouth will transition while speaking in the final product. Measuring 13.5"x16.5" overall, with the character images measuring about 2.5"x2.5" each, the drawings are in very good condition with minimal edge wear.
