A ceramic salt and pepper shaker set inspired by the Disney Studios animated film "Dumbo" (1941). Featuring the charming Dumbo, the shakers were created by Leeds China Co. in Chicago between 1944 and 1954. Leeds ceramics were often brightly painted, but due to their age and handling rarely retain their original color, as seen with this set. Measuring 3"x2.5" and 4.25" tall, the shakers are in fair condition with the back of one shaker showing a large chip with three cracks and significant crazing. One shaker is visibly worse than the other, but they present rather nicely together from the front.
